Seeking Volunteers for assistance with Adult Day program in Stony Plain and also for Community visitor roles in community- 


Currently seeking volunteers for in-person visits for clients of Assisted Living Alberta Home Care located in either Spruce Grove or Stony Plain. Community visitor Volunteers are matched one to one with a client in their area and should be available for a 1-2 hour weekly social/companionship visit preferred Monday through Friday. Schedule can be flexible. Volunteers choose their client and environment that works for them. Clients ask for volunteers mature in age. This is an independent, unsupervised role.

Adult Day Program volunteers can choose their schedule sometime during program hours M-F 9:30am-2:30 pm, and support recreation teams for the delivery of the program which includes movement, music, exercise, arts and crafts and other activities in a group setting. This is a supervised assignment in a formal setting. 

Volunteer must fill out an application, attend an online or in person interview and orientation, provide a clear Police Information Check, provide two references, sign a Confidentiality Agreement and Position Description, and report time volunteered each month to their coordinator.

Volunteers and clients can go for a walk, have coffee or tea, watch a movie, discuss news and world events, play board games, bake together, do arts and crafts, and so much more based on your interests and the interests of the client. Adult Day Program role will see volunteers visiting and interacting with clients in a formal setting
