Community Visitor Volunteers for St. Albert and Northwest Edmonton: English, Polish, Italian and Portuguese Speaking volunteers requested for specific 1 to 1 client companionship referrals located in Castledowns and St. Albert. AHS Home Care NW Edmonton

Multiple positions for English speaking volunteers, and Specific language request for 1 of each volunteers:  Polish, Portuguese and Italian speaking volunteers for Afternoon visits M-F 1-2 hours a week (with flexibility) in the Castle downs area of Edmonton. English language request for 3 clients in St. Albert.
Do you like visiting? Would you like to connect weekly with a person who is isolated and seeking social companionship? 
Volunteers are matched one to one with a client in their area and should be available for a 1-2 hour weekly social/companionship visit Monday through Friday. Schedule can be flexible. Volunteers choose their client and environment that works for them. 

Volunteer must provide proof of visa or permit to volunteer, fill out an application, attend an online or in-person interview, attend Home Care  orientation over Zoom & complete AHS online orientation, provide a clear Police Information Check (Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Search), provide two references, Sign Confidentiality and other agreements, and report time volunteered each month to their coordinator. There are additional requirements if volunteers wish to transport clients in their own vehicle for outings.
