Director of Branding and Marketing (board member)

YAS Calgary's value proposition.

Many young adults (18-30) in Calgary do not have a support system they feel comfortable discussing their mental and emotional health with, this may be because they lack social connections or because they don't feel comfortable initializing those conversations with their social connections. YAS Calgary aims to confront these issues by providing a safe, non-clinical and peer based environment for them to discuss their emotional and mental health, by putting participants in small groups of 3 with peers of the same age,
that addresses hopelessness and failure to improve mental health by doing nothing.

YAS Calgary is in the process of forming a society and is in it's infancy, currently meetings will be virtual or at a Calgary Public Library.

Role
This is a role on YAS Calgary's board of directors (BOD) which includes the following roles.
- attending monthly BOD meetings (virtually or in-person)
- voting on board issues
- contributing to organizational governance

among director roles this position will also contribute to YAS Calgary's marketing and branding.
- Social media posting (Facebook, Instagram & TikTok among others)
- Creating content
- Graphic design
- Outreach initiatives and partnership opportunities

Requirements
- An interest in social media marketing, and experience using social media platforms.
- An interest in mental health support.
- Directors terms are 2 years, but an applicant is free to opt out before then.
- Applicant must be willing to sign documentation for the purpose of forming a society and a notice of director form, (please note under the Alberta Societies Act, members and directors are NOT liable for debts or lawsuits).
