Help us use the Power of Puppetry to Impact Positive Social Change! 

Do you care about the arts? About families? About education? About children, youth and seniors? mental health? diversity and inclusion? climate change? social action? 

We do. 

W.P. Puppet Theatre Society is inviting people with a passion for puppetry to join our Board of Directors. 

What we're working on and need your help for: 
- We're pivoting our programming to global on - line delivery to make it financially, geographically, socially and functionally accessible.  
- We're presenting in person and live streamed events for adult professional development as well events for families 

Assets you could bring: 
- A broad network of Calgary business and community connections
- Lived or learned experience in programming, marketing or governance, fundraising, sponsorship. 

Details:
- Monthly time commitment of approximately 4-6 hours. 
- Preferred Board term is 3 years. 

What you'd do: 
- serve and/or lead sub-committees working on: 
•	Governance Guidelines and Training manual development 
•	Event planning – Puppet Power conferences 
•	Budget and Finance review 
•	Sponsorship and Donation research and implementation
•	Strategic succession planning.

Additional Details & Skills Required
Our meetings are hybrid - in person and Zoom. In order to ensure a good fit for both of us, our recruitment process includes a CV review, a phone/Zoom call with other board members.  After initial conversations, training is typically on the spot. Questions welcome!

Certification or Education Required
Vulnerable Sector/Police Information check is required If you are going to volunteer at events with our young audiences. We will pay for this.
