Board Members

The Shakespeare Company is looking for enthusiastic leaders to serve as members on our Board of Directors (Board).

The Board is comprised of volunteers. Members are expected to:
*Work with fellow board members to fulfill the obligations of board membership;
*Act in a way that contributes to the effective operation of the board; 
*Regularly attend and participate in board and committee meetings;
*Participate in fund development by taking on various tasks tailored to your comfort and skills.

Desired Characteristics:
*Demonstrated leadership in industry and community;
*Preferably experience on a not-for-profit board;
*Skills/experience in the following areas: corporate and community leadership, accounting, marketing, arts background and/or chairing boards;
*From a diverse background;
*An interest in Shakespeare and classical theatre and a passion for arts and culture.

Board members serve a three year term which can be renewed up to two times.
