Safe Families Canada Calgary

Safe Families seeks to surround families in crisis with caring, compassionate communities. We will do this largely through a network of volunteers from local churches, guided by obedience to Christ and compassion for those in need. Safe Families recognizes the family as a fundamental unit ordained by God to nurture children and guide them toward maturity and responsibility in adulthood.
Many families facing a crisis in Calgary do not have help from extended family or friends to give them temporary support. This can make it hard for them to quickly find help, which can delay support and possibly lead to things like abuse, neglect and a total breakdown of the family. Safe Families provides a chance for parents to get back on their feet before their stressful situation leads to these things. Parents experiencing a crisis can receive temporary support from Safe Families Christian volunteers while they address the issues that led to their situation.
