Nature Calgary

Nature Calgary is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation, understanding, and conservation of nature in the Calgary area. Founded in 1955, we have been a leading voice for environmental stewardship for nearly 70 years. Our mission is to connect people with nature through education, community engagement, and advocacy, fostering a deeper understanding of Calgary’s unique ecosystems.
We offer a variety of programs, including birding walks, educational workshops, speaker series, and citizen science initiatives. In addition, Nature Calgary advocates for the protection of natural spaces, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability through partnerships with other conservation groups and active involvement in local environmental policy.
As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely on the passion and commitment of our members to achieve our goals. Through our collective efforts, we work to inspire a love for nature and empower people to take meaningful action to protect it for future generations.
