My Neighbour’s Keeper is a faith-based nonprofit, our work rooted in the belief that no one should walk through life’s challenges alone. We offer holistic emotional, mental, and practical support to seniors and other individuals navigating isolation or loneliness, caregiving stress, illness, grief, disability, trauma, poverty, or reintegration into society. We’re in need of compassionate individuals who will function at the heart of our mission to restore dignity and promote community resilience. The MNK Training Facilitator plays a vital role in equipping volunteers and support staff with the knowledge, confidence, and compassion to serve clients effectively and respectfully. Through interactive training sessions, the Trainer helps build skills in emotional support, ethical conduct, community engagement, and client-centered care, all grounded in MNK’s mission of love in action. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and informative training sessions for new and existing volunteers (virtually or in person) Facilitate discussions and interactive exercises that reflect MNK’s values of dignity, empathy, and neighbourly care Use MNK-approved training materials and contribute to their refinement as needed Adapt delivery style to suit different learning needs and backgrounds Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to trainees Maintain accurate attendance and feedback records Participate in occasional train-the-trainer or facilitator check-ins Essential Qualifications Experience in training, facilitation, teaching, or group leadership Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to MNK’s mission of psychosocial support and neighbour-based care Comfort with topics such as emotional support, boundaries, trauma-informed practice, or community mental health. Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning space Assets (Nice to Have) Background in social work, psychology, education, peer support, or community outreach Familiarity with virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) Lived experience related to MNK’s work and communities served
