Social Media Volunteer

3-6 hours / weekly
3–6 months (renewable)
We are a faith-rooted, community-driven nonprofit providing free and low-cost mental, emotional, spiritual, and practical support to vulnerable neighbours in Calgary. From counselling and respite care to home visits and transportation, we walk alongside people facing isolation, grief, illness, and hardship—ensuring no one walks alone.

We’re looking for a Social Media Volunteer who’s passionate about storytelling, community building, and mental wellness. You’ll help grow our online presence, connect with supporters, and share impactful stories that reflect hope, healing, and neighbourly love.
Draft engaging social media content (posts, captions, stories)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a consistent posting schedule (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Create basic graphics using Canva or similar tools
Share client success stories, volunteer highlights, upcoming events, and calls to action
Monitor messages and engage with our online community
Collaborate with the ED or Outreach Team on campaigns and digital strategies

You’re a Good Fit If You:
Are passionate about helping people.
Have experience managing social media for an organization or cause (personal projects count too!)
Understand voice and tone for compassionate storytelling
Are organized, self-motivated, and reliable
Are familiar with tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, or Buffer (a plus, not a must)
