My Neighbour’s Keeper is a faith-based nonprofit, our work rooted in the belief that no one should walk through life’s challenges alone. We offer holistic emotional, mental, and practical support to seniors and other individuals navigating isolation or loneliness, caregiving stress, illness, grief, disability, trauma, poverty, or reintegration into society.

We’re in need of compassionate individuals who will function at the heart of our mission to restore dignity and promote community resilience.

Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in your community?

Join us as a Client Support Volunteer and help us bring hope, compassion and care to the vulnerable.

You may choose to support clients in any one of the following ways:

1) Simple Home Maintenance Services
Perform minor home maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs, shoveling snow, mowing lawns, etc.
2) Companion Services
Spend time with clients as a companion.
Provide emotional support, share stories, and foster meaningful connections to combat loneliness.
3) Phone Attendant Services
Offer friendly, non-emergency phone check-ins to provide emotional or social support.
Respond to client needs and direct them to appropriate resources within our organization.
4) Respite Care Services
Provide relief to family caregivers by spending time with their loved ones.
Engage in activities like playing games, chatting, or providing companionship, allowing caregivers to rest and recharge.
5) Visitation Services
Visit clients in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
Provide comfort, conversation, and encouragement to individuals who may feel isolated.
6) Transportation Services
Drive clients to essential appointments (e.g., medical, therapy, or community events).
Accompany clients on errands, such as grocery shopping, and ensure their safety and comfort.

Police and vulnerable sector checks (required).
