Help make local democracy more accessible, engaging, and community-driven! municiPAL (emphasis on the pal!) is a youth-led Calgary nonprofit that helps people connect with their communities through civic education, creative programming, community events, and local advocacy. We believe civic engagement is about more than voting. It's about building relationships, understanding how local government shapes everyday life, and empowering people to make a difference in their own communities. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers (18+) who want to make a meaningful impact while building skills and experience alongside a collaborative team. Depending on your interests and experience, you may be involved in: - Supporting community events, workshops, and civic education programs - Researching local issues, elections, policies, and community initiatives - Creating educational or social media content - Assisting with outreach to community organizations and partners - Helping plan and facilitate programs and public engagement activities - Supporting behind-the-scenes coordination and organizational projects No prior experience in politics is required. We value curiosity, initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Whether you're interested in research, communications, events, or community building, we'll work with you to find a role that matches your interests and goals. We offer flexible volunteer opportunities ranging from project-based involvement to ongoing team roles. === Interested in volunteering?
