Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Are you looking for a meaningful way to contribute to your community? We have an exciting volunteer opportunity just for you! Join "Our Root & Rise: Women Connect Program" in Calgary, Alberta!

The ROOTS & RISE : Women Connect program is a trauma-informed community initiative of Mother of Hope International Organization supporting immigrant, refugee, and newcomer women affected by conflict, displacement, and loss to connect with community, heal from adversity, and rebuild hopeful and empowered lives. This initiative aimed at fostering the mental health connections and support for women immigrants, refugee families settling in Calgary, Alberta. We believe that by offering friendship and guidance, we can make a lasting impact on their journey towards integration and a brighter future.

🤝 What You'll Do as a Volunteer:
•	Act as a friendly and compassionate mentor to a refugee family
•	Offer practical assistance, such as orientation to the local area and access to community resources
•	Help build English language skills through informal conversations and activities
•	Encourage social connections by participating in community events together
•	Share cultural experiences and celebrate diversity
•	Provide emotional support and be a source of encouragement during challenging times

No previous experience is necessary; all you need is a compassionate heart, open-mindedness, and a commitment to making a positive impact. Training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and equipped in your role.

Please note: all volunteers must be legally able to work in Canada and have lived in Canada for at least 2 to 4 years, as this lived experience is important for understanding Canadian systems, services, and culture.
