L'Arche Association of Calgary
At L’Arche Calgary, our mission is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities by fostering communities of belonging, dignity, and mutual relationship. We provide support through five family-style group homes in Southwest Calgary, alongside a Day Program and a growing Supported Independent Living Program. Together, these services support individuals with personalized, community-based care that promotes stability, independence, and meaningful engagement in everyday life.
Our model is rooted in shared living and relationship. Rather than traditional institutional care, we create small, intentional home environments where Core Members (persons with disabilities) and assistants live and grow together as neighbours and friends. With a focus on inclusion, adaptability, and respect, we strive to build a community where each person’s unique contributions are recognized and celebrated, and where volunteers are welcomed as valued partners in our mission.
