The ELIA Institute is seeking a volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help grow our online presence and share our research, initiatives, and educational content with a broader audience. This role is ideal for individuals interested in social media strategy, science communication, digital marketing, psychology, and community engagement. The Social Media Coordinator will help communicate ELIA's mission through thoughtful, accessible, and engaging online content. As a founding volunteer, you will have the opportunity to help establish ELIA's digital voice and develop strategies for connecting research with the wider community. What You Will Be Doing Assist with developing and maintaining ELIA's social media presence. Create and schedule social media content across relevant platforms. Develop content calendars and assist with planning campaigns. Write captions and adapt research content for online audiences. Monitor engagement and identify opportunities for community interaction. Collaborate with Research Assistants and Content Assistants to share research-based content. Work with Graphic & Website Design Volunteers to develop visually engaging posts. Suggest ideas for improving audience engagement and outreach. Support the communication of ELIA's mission, values, and research initiatives. Skills Needed Required: Strong written communication skills. Creativity and interest in digital communication. Understanding of social media platforms and online communities. Organization and ability to manage content schedules. Ability to work collaboratively and incorporate feedback.
