Volunteers Needed - For Language Translation. Tigrinya, Somali, Rohingya, Arabic, Turkish, Sewalili, Kinyarwanda, Kurmanji,
Volunteers assist our program staff at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, with interpretation for our on-site clinics, orientations, and office visits. Other duties as required. This is an on-call role that will be done in-person at our various sites including our main (CCIS) office downtown, Margaret Chisolm Resettlement Centre (MCRC), and other community settings. Volunteers are required usually during weekdays, some evening and weekend appointments may be required. Current Languages Required: Tigrinya, Somali, Rohingya, Arabic, Turkish, Sewalili, Kinyarwanda, Kurmanji, Excellent English skills are a must (at least a CLB level of 6 and higher) Strong people skills Patience and understanding Dependability Ability to commit to appointment requests

This role is not suitable to those wishing to strengthen their English skills. We are seeking strong English speakers as well as their other language
Certification or Education Required
Proof of Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment is required
