Communications lead

15-20 hours / monthly
prefer 1 year minimum.
Do you have a passion for basic income and enjoy sharing your passion? Basic Income Calgary is a grassroots advocacy group that includes like-minded volunteers and agency representatives promoting basic income to Calgarians.
BIC will benefit with knowledge and expertise of someone who knows and understands how to share valuable messages. 
Roles: 
- writing for the public 
- proposing communication plan and working with the committee to finalize. 
- liaise with and guide social media coordinator, web weaver/master 
- attend BIC steering committee meetings (2 hours every 2 months, last Monday morning of January, March, May, September, November) 
- provide recommendations on how basic income initiatives can be promoted and have higher social media profile 
- implement agreed to communication strategies 
- liaise w/ key contacts at Basic Income Calgary and national basic income groups
Expectations:
- Participate in Basic Income Calgary steering committees  last Monday morning of January, March, May, September, November)
