In the Lead Coach

Leadership and life skill development within the In the Lead program is enhanced by the presence of volunteer Coaches. In the Lead Coaches help young people transform their views of themselves, their communities, and their futures. As an In the Lead Coach you will: *Develop a strengths-based approach to mentorship and relational development *Connect with a Young Leader and support their leadership journey while evolving your own leadership skills and potential. *Impact a young person’s life by helping them discover and develop their strengths and potential as leaders for themselves and their communities. *Improve the community by having a positive impact on the leaders of tomorrow. Your Commitment *Be a Coach for one semesters, two preferably (approximately 4-8 hours per month) *Participate in initial and ongoing training *Connect regularly with a Young Leader to help them discover and celebrate their strengths and potential *Participate in group leadership development classes and activities with Young Leaders and other Coaches *Be flexible, open minded and willing to learn Minimum age to participate is 21.
