Promotions and Marketing Team Member
Promotions And Marketing Volunteer The Ability Workshop Society has opening for a Promotions and Marketing volunteer to be part of our Promotions/Marketing team. Some work can be done online but also would involve in person meetings . Key Responsibilities: • Social Media Management: Creating, scheduling, and monitoring content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, ) to increase engagement. • Content Creation: Developing engaging visuals, graphics, and written content for newsletters, flyers, blogs, and websites. • Event Promotion: Designing and executing promotional strategies to drive attendance and community involvement for events. • Marketing Strategy: Collaborating with teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the organization’s mission. • Public Relations Support: Assisting with media outreach, drafting press releases, and building relationships with local media outlets. • In-Person Coverage: Attending events – Resource Fairs etc. We are a totally volunteer run charity that designs/adapts and creates custom equipment for those people living with a disability. We also repair assistive technology devices, adapted toys and equipment.
Certification or Education Required
Qualifications • Marketing Experience: Knowledge of digital marketing tools ( e.g. Canva, Adobe, Hootsuite) and social media platforms. • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling content. • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple promotional tasks. • Passion: A strong interest in the organization's cause or nonprofit sector
