Burlington Repair Cafe

There are over 3,000 non-profit, grassroots, Repair Cafes around the world. At a Repair Cafe, we invite residents to bring their broken/damaged small household appliances and items to be fixed by our volunteers. Fixers bring their 'handy' experience and their favourite tools to our monthly events and help residents keep their items in use and out of the landfill site. No special knowledge or experience is necessary - only the desire to help the community, save residents money, and change the built-in obsolescence model of consumerism. We have been in operation for seven years in Burlington. We now want to establish new Repair Cafes in Oakville and Halton Hills.
