Volunteer Driver
Our Transportation program provides rides for clients to and from the important places they need to go enabling them to live independently. Volunteer drivers may provide transportation to the grocery store, adult day programs, medical and personal appointments or other errands for clients, within Waterloo Region for whom public transportation and other forms of transportation are inaccessible. Volunteer drivers use their own personal vehicles. Duties include: - Escorting clients safely to and from their homes to the important places they need to be - In-town or out-of-town rides, based on your preferences - Maintain confidentiality regarding client information - Be punctual and dependable in picking up the client at the scheduled time - Flexible time commitment - you let us know when you are available from week to week! *Mileage is reimbursed monthly.
Additional Details & Skills Required
All volunteers will receive agency wide and program specific training before their first shift.
