Chess Program Assistant

Ongoing
As a Chess Program Assistant with Enroute 2 Success, you’ll help with Wednesday evening youth chess lessons in Brampton. Tasks include setting up boards, pieces, and clocks before lessons, welcoming participants, recording attendance, assisting beginners as they learn from professional coaches (including a grandmaster), keeping score during games, tracking participant improvement, and packing up materials after lessons. Experience playing chess is a bonus and can help you better support participants during lessons and games.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn from professional and grandmaster-level chess coaches, develop teaching and mentorship skills, and make a direct impact by supporting Enroute 2 Success’ mission of providing free youth programs. Reference letter can be provided if requested.
