EFry Hope & Help for Women is seeking caring and committed volunteers to support our Storybook Program at the Vanier Centre for Women. This unique and meaningful program helps incarcerated mothers stay connected with their children. Volunteers assist as mothers record themselves reading a story, which is then sent to their child along with a brand new copy of the book and a handwritten letter. Through this experience, children receive comfort, connection, and support for their development, while mothers are given an opportunity to maintain and strengthen family bonds. Location: Vanier Centre for Women, Milton Volunteer Responsibilities: Support participants in recording or reading children’s stories Assist with preparing and organizing book packages Help create a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment Contribute to a program that fosters family connection and emotional well-being Time Commitment: Wednesdays: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM Fridays: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM Potential Saturdays: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Volunteers should be available for at least one of these time slots and able to travel to Milton.
