 We are looking for volunteers who wish to make a real difference. Members of DEFEND's Advocacy Team are responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, outreach to the public and more. The Team is working on rallies, in person protests, petitions to change laws and make everyone safer online and more! Event planning and/or marketing experience would be helpful. Advocates of all kinds (not just legal) are encouraged to apply!

One of the Team's projects: We are seeking to have age/identity verification MANDATORY on ALL social media. We are petitioning the Governments of Canada and the US to begin with. 

TIME COMMITMENT: A few hours per week, ongoing (remote work)

Key Responsibilities
-Attend and contribute in weekly meetings; 
-Discuss team progress and develop on overall Team Plan; 
-Work with other DEFEND Teams to plan events, engage with the public and develop DEFEND's public image
-Team Leads will be responsible for agenda/meeting reports & communicating with the Committee and/or other DEFEND Teams.
