Volunteer Social Media/ Marketing Coordinator – Remote (BC)

1-4 hours / weekly
4-6 months
Let’s Play! Society is a growing BC nonprofit creating inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming programs for neurodivergent children and youth. We are looking for a creative and reliable Volunteer Social Media/Marketing Coordinator to help us build our online presence, share our programs and impact, and connect with families, community partners, volunteers, and supporters across British Columbia.

This is a flexible, primarily virtual role that can be completed from anywhere in BC. The Social Media Coordinator will work with the Society’s Executive Director to plan and create engaging, accessible content that reflects Let’s Play! Society’s values, promotes upcoming programs and events, and helps grow awareness of our work.

This role would be a great fit for someone with experience or interest in social media, communications, marketing, content creation, graphic design, or nonprofit communications who wants to use those skills for a meaningful cause.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Approximately 2 hours of virtual onboarding and orientation will be provided, including the Society’s mission and values, brand guidelines, neurodiversity-affirming communication, privacy and consent requirements, and social media procedures.
Certification or Education Required
Education or experience in social media, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, content creation, or a related field is an asset but not required. We welcome students, emerging professionals, and experienced volunteers. Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, or similar content-creation tools is preferred. Strong written communication, creativity, reliability, and an understanding of or willingness to learn about neurodiversity-affirming practice are important.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Help shape the voice of a growing nonprofit while supporting inclusion for neurodivergent children and youth. Gain hands-on experience in social media, content creation, nonprofit communications and community engagement. Build portfolio-ready work, contribute your own ideas, and receive verification of volunteer hours and a reference where appropriate, all while helping families discover programs and opportunities to belong.
