Volunteer Bookkeeper / Accounting Coordinator – Remote (BC

2-4 hours / weekly
6 months
Let’s Play! Society is a growing BC nonprofit providing inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming programs for neurodivergent children and youth. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented volunteer to help establish and maintain sound financial systems as the Society grows.

Working primarily with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer, this virtual role will support bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, reporting, budgeting, and the development of practical financial processes appropriate for a small nonprofit organization.
Certification or Education Required
Education or experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Previous bookkeeping experience and familiarity with accounting software are strong assets. Experience with nonprofit organizations is helpful but not required. CPA students, accounting professionals, experienced bookkeepers, and retired professionals are encouraged to apply. A CPA designation is an asset but is not required for the bookkeeping role.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Use your financial skills to help build the foundation of a growing BC nonprofit. Gain or contribute hands-on nonprofit accounting experience, help develop systems from an early stage, and see how strong financial stewardship directly supports programs for neurodivergent children and youth. Verification of volunteer hours and a reference may be provided where appropriate.
