*Who We Are*
Gaba Hope for Kids is a grassroots, community-led organization based in Gaba, Kampala, Uganda. We were born from the streets of our own community - seeing children out of school, hungry, and forgotten. We decided to be the hope.
*Our Mission:* To empower and educate unprivileged, orphaned and vulnerable children through access to education, daily meals, and safe, loving learning spaces.
*Our Vision:* A community where every child, no matter their background, has the chance to learn, dream, and become - because when you educate a child, you educate a nation.
*Why Volunteer With Us?*
When you volunteer with Gaba Hope for Kids, you don't just visit. You belong. You become family, an amplifier, a big brother or sister to over 500 children who call our center home.
We need you, whether you are in Kampala or anywhere in the world:
*On-Site Volunteers:*
- Teach, read, and mentor in our learning circles
- Help in our daily feeding kitchen
- Assist in building and painting classrooms
- Train mothers in vocational skills
*Online Volunteers:*
- Fundraise and amplify our GlobalGiving campaign
- Tutor children via video call
- Help with grant writing, graphics, and social media
No special skill is required - just a heart for justice, dignity, and unwavering hope.
