Association for the Brain Injured (ARBI) is a community-based, non-profit organization in Calgary, AB. Since 1978, ARBI has been providing vital services to individuals with severe acquired brain injuries. What began as a grassroots organization, has now evolved into a multifaceted, essential service for survivors of brain injuries and strokes.

ARBI provides comprehensive community-based rehabilitation and family support in a nurturing and encouraging environment. Our innovative treatment model and unique, personalized approach has successfully helped thousands of individuals with brain injuries regain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

ARBI welcomes volunteers into a variety of roles working in the office or directly with our clients. Therapists and rehabilitation team members train our client-involved volunteers to carry out components of our clients’ treatment plans. This unique team approach results in the formation of incredible relationships between our clients, our multidisciplinary team, and members of the community, all while focusing on our clients’ unique goals and enabling them to live their best possible lives.
