Volunteer Grant Writer (with Potential for Paid Opportunities)

NewBeginnings is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support our mission. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable nonprofit development experience—with the opportunity for future paid compensation based on performance and funding success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our mission (women, children, girls, education, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking, Child marriage, Vocational Skills, Micro-credits, Food Security/extreme poverty, drug prevention, etc)
-Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and funding applications
-Collaborate with leadership to gather program data, budgets, and impact stories
-Track grant deadlines and maintain a grant calendar
-Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants

Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development (preferred but not required)
- Ability to communicate impact clearly and persuasively
- Organized, self-motivated, and deadline-driven
- Passion for community service, housing stability, and social impact
