Global Grant Writing Opportunity — Women, Girls and Communities in India

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the grant writing team at the NewBeginnings Charitable Trust (NCT), headquartered in Vijayawada, India. We are looking for two dynamic, organised and detail orientated, highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented virtual Grant Writer(s) to support the organisation's fundraising and development goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of researching, writing, and submitting successful grant proposals for nonprofit, intergovernmental, government, and international funding opportunities.
This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and produce high-quality grant materials with limited supervision. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment and understand the mission-driven nature of nonprofit and grassroots, rights-based organisations working in last-mile communities. 
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to resource mobilisation efforts supporting women's empowerment, child protection, prevention of human trafficking, girls' education, and community-based development across Andhra Pradesh, India — one of the country's most complex and underserved social development contexts. NCT works in 120 last-mile villages, many of them remote and isolated, where this work changes what is possible for women and girls.

Key duties and responsibilities:
•	Identify and assess grant, sponsorship, partnership, and resource mobilization opportunities that align with the mission, programs, and strategic priorities of NCT following NCT’s fundraising plan.
•	Write, edit, and submit comprehensive grant proposals, including persuasive narratives, concept notes, letters of inquiry, budget narratives, timelines, work plans, logic models, and monitoring and evaluation summaries.
•	Manage the full grant application process from opportunity identification to final submission, complying with funder guidelines, eligibility requirements, formatting standards, and submission instructions.
•	Track and manage grant deadlines, submission requirements, reporting obligations, follow-up communications, and maintain organised electronic grant files, templates, funder records, proposal drafts, and supporting documentation.
•	Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines, while collaborating virtually with NCT leadership through weekly update and briefing meetings.
•	Assist with grant reporting, funder correspondence, and renewal applications as needed.
•	Support the development of resource mobilization strategies, donor engagement plans, and partnership proposals that strengthen the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
•	Collaborate with NCT Project Directors and program teams to gather program data, impact metrics, success stories, and supporting evidence required for competitive funding applications.
•	Monitor emerging funding trends, policy priorities, and international development opportunities related to India, children, child marriage, human trafficking, SRHR, youth development & career guidance, women’s empowerment, economic development, governance, and social innovation.

Skills and Abilities:
•	Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in global settings (preferably in a not-for-profit, intergovernmental, and public sector setting).
•	Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and funder-focused proposals.
•	Knowledge of nonprofit grant writing standards, including proposal narratives, needs statements, goals and objectives, outcomes, budgets, and evaluation plans.
•	Ability to write for diverse funders, including philanthropic, and international development entities.
•	Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage  deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work effectively.
•	High attention to detail, accuracy, grammar, formatting, and compliance requirements.
•	Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF tools, online grant portals, databases, and virtual collaboration platforms, with the ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
