As a Vantage Point Volunteer or as we like to refer to as Knowledge Philanthropist, Digital Hosts will offer technical support to Vantage Point staff and facilitators during online workshops and other virtual training projects offered towards sector capacity building.

Role: 
Digital Hosts will engage with a large variety of not-for-profit member organization, clients and team members in a tech support role. All training will be provided online by relevant team members. This role will work from home and requires use of laptop, phone, and stable internet connection.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist workshop facilitators with digital setup of relevant platforms (e.g. Zoom and PowerPoint).
• Coordinate a tech check-in with the facilitator upon request.
• Greet and admit workshop participants and address the relevant slides including the tools that would be used during the session.
• Support with technology troubleshooting and other questions or concerns around online tools or the platform being used.
• Be present for the entire duration of workshops (typically 3 hours) to provide technology assistance as needed.
• Report any feedback or concerns to Vantage Point Staff after each workshop related to the use of technology.

Skills & Characteristics:
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Zoom, and other major technologies/online platforms
• Interest in the not-for-profit sector and skill development
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities
• Clear communication skills – verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfort and confidence with public speaking
• Dedication to continual learning and openness to receiving constructive feedback

Time Commitment:
• Availability between: 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm and/or 5:40pm-8:30pm PST.
• Orientation to Vantage Point (2 hours).
• A commitment of approximately 9 hours is required for a minimum of one year with a possibility of extension.
• Training would be provided through shadowing and online orientation.
