Join us for an exciting 2 weeks of learning, creativity, and exploration! Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support our upcoming Summer Camp at Columbia Academy (Downtown Location). 

Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages, including K-12, adults, and seniors.

The Summer Camp Volunteer is responsible for:

Greeting and directing attendees upon arrival
Supervising participants during activities, transitions, and break times
Preparing and organizing materials for activities and tracking inventory
Facilitating indoor and outdoor educational games and workshops
Encouraging campers participation and fostering an inclusive, positive atmosphere
Supporting staff with inventory organization and site cleanliness
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers throughout the program

Location: Columbia Academy Elementary School 792 Beatty St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2M1  
Date: Week 1: July 20-24. Week 2: July 27-31.   Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

QUALIFICATIONS- 

Who We're Looking For:

Minimum age: 14 years or up
Fluent in English
Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time (Need help getting here? Travel costs maybe reimbursed upon request)
Interest in LEGO Robotics, art, and science, and helping children learn through play.
Previous experience (volunteer or paid) working with children under 12 preferred.
Comfortable assisting with a variety of hands-on tasks, from art supplies to LEGO builds.
Ability to follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
