New West Outreach Drop-In Center Assistant
Union Gospel Mission's New Westminster Resource Centre, located at 658 Clarkson Street, offers meaningful care to anyone who walks through the door. We provide services from hygiene products, clothing, and emergency food hampers, to Case Management, emotional and spiritual support. Volunteers will help support the outreach staff in meal service. Please note that you may be redirected to serve in the kitchen if there is a shortage of volunteers. Shifts are from Monday to Friday; from 7am-10am and 11am-1:30pm. Tasks - Welcome people as they enter the resource center - Serve coffee - Prepare utensils and trays for the meal service - Deliver food to community members with mobility issues - Clear trays and dishes from tables - Sanitize and wipe down tables
