Make a Difference: Join the Board of the Tumour Foundation of BC

Are you passionate about improving health care and creating meaningful change in your community? The Tumour Foundation of BC (TFBC) is seeking thoughtful, committed individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of care for individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). For over 40 years, TFBC has supported British Columbians living with NF- a complex genetic condition that causes tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. Affecting approximately 1 in 2,000 people, NF can lead to serious health challenges, including vision and hearing loss, chronic pain, and cancer. Through support programs, education, advocacy, and research awareness, we are working to improve quality of life and access to care. With recent advances in treatment and growing momentum in the field, this is a pivotal time to get involved. As a Board member, you will: - Provide strategic leadership and governance to guide the organization’s future - Contribute your skills and perspective to strengthen programs and initiatives - Support fundraising efforts and help build meaningful donor relationships - Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to improving lives across BC Time commitment: - Monthly virtual board meetings - Participation in annual planning and key events - Ongoing engagement in committee or project work We are especially interested in individuals with experience in: - Health care or research - mFundraising or donor relations - Finance, law, or governance - Communications or marketing (but welcome diverse perspectives and lived experience) Ready to make an impact?
