Tech Literacy Consultant

Join our upcoming technology literacy program - Tech to Go - as a volunteer Tech Literacy Consultant and make a difference in the lives of older adults and seniors by helping them navigate the digital world! As a Tech Literacy Consultant, you will play a vital role in teaching individuals how to use their technology devices, including tablets, smartphones, and laptops. Your patience, adaptability, and tech proficiency will empower older adults to become confident and independent in using their devices.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
❖ Provide personalized tech support and guidance to older adults and seniors on using their devices effectively.
❖ Adapt to various problems and challenges faced by individuals, offering tailored solutions and troubleshooting assistance.
❖ Conduct one-on-one and or group training sessions to teach basic to advanced functions of technology devices.
❖ Assist in setting up and configuring devices, installing apps, and troubleshooting software issues.
❖ Communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring participants feel comfortable asking questions.

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
❖ Proficiency in using technology devices such as tablets, smartphones, and laptops.
❖ Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and preferences.
❖ Great communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
❖ Patient, empathetic, and compassionate attitude towards older adults and seniors.
❖ Basic Japanese proficiency is an asset. However, we still welcome those who are willing to learn some basic Japanese.
