Social Media Manager

We are searching for a talented Social Media Manager to create engaging social media content for the Three Links Foundation’s social media channels (Instagram, FaceBook, and X), to update and maintain our website, and to seek out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with our target audiences. You will be part of the Communications Team working together to share content that supports our mission to provide meals, clothing, and essential supplies to the homeless community in Fairview, Vancouver.

Responsibilities:
-Use social media to promote the activities and achievements of the Foundation
-Use a Content Calendar to keep our social media channels updated on a frequent basis
-Encourage others to comment on our posts and share with their networks and followers while ensuring respectful engagement
-Ensure that our communications reach a wide range of local stakeholders and a diverse audience
-Develop and manage content for our website and social media
-Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward
-Keep up to date with Three Links Events and news to promote through our social media feeds
-Attend regular meetings with the Board’s Communications Committee

Requirements:
-Social Media Marketing experience
-Social Media strategy development experience
-Experience working with a Communications Plan
-Ability to update and maintain a WordPress website
-Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform
-Ability to measure success of campaigns
-Ability to work with a team to create a consistent voice
-Good understanding of confidentiality, and a sensitivity to issues in the homeless and food insecure community

Time Commitment:
2 to 4 hours per week
6 month minimum commitment

Would suit a recent Social Media and Web Marketing graduate or student.
