We are looking for a passionate and organized individual to serve as the Volunteer Recruitment Head at The Vancouver Helpers. This role will focus on building a strong team of volunteer tutors, and when needed executives, who are committed to supporting our students. The Volunteer Recruitment Head will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for new volunteers to start their roles. Responsibilities: Recruit Volunteers: Lead efforts to recruit new volunteers for tutoring and other roles (when needed) within the organization. This includes outreach to schools, universities, and local community groups to find passionate individuals who align with our mission. Conduct Volunteer Interviews: Interview potential volunteers to assess their skills, availability, and commitment. Ensure volunteers are a good fit for the organization and the specific needs of our students. Ensure Documentation is in Place: Ensure all necessary paperwork, including volunteer agreements, background checks, and training materials, are completed and filed. Work to streamline the onboarding process so volunteers are prepared to begin their work as efficiently as possible. Role Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and assess potential volunteers. Organizational skills to manage recruitment, interviews, and volunteer documentation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Experience in volunteer management or recruitment is a plus but not required. Passion for education and working with volunteers to make a meaningful impact in the community. This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-3 hours per week. All work is conducted remotely, offering flexibility to work from home.
