Social Media Director

We are seeking a creative and energetic individual to serve as the Social Media Director at The Vancouver Helpers. This role will be responsible for managing and growing our presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The Social Media Director will be tasked with creating a consistent and engaging brand voice, developing content that resonates with our audience, and interacting with followers to build a strong online community.

Responsibilities:
Manage Social Media Platforms:
Oversee the organization’s social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Regularly post content, manage campaigns, and keep platforms up to date with relevant information about our programs and events.
Develop and Maintain a Brand Voice:
Create and maintain a consistent, engaging, and authentic brand voice that aligns with The Vancouver Helpers' mission. Ensure all posts reflect the values and tone of the organization while connecting with diverse audiences.
Engage with Followers:
Actively engage with followers on all platforms by responding to comments, messages, and mentions. Build relationships with the community, encourage dialogue, and foster a positive online environment that supports our mission and encourages involvement.

Role Requirements:
Experience in social media management and content creation is a plus.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) and best practices for engagement.
Creative skills for developing compelling content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple platforms, and stay organized.
Passion for education, community engagement, and social media as a tool for positive change.

This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-3 hours per week. All work is conducted remotely, offering flexibility to work from home.
