Organization: The Vancouver Helpers (BC Chapter of YouthInspirED Foundation) About Us: The Vancouver Helpers is dedicated to ensuring that all students in Vancouver and southern BC receive the academic support they need to become fearless learners. We offer free online tutoring and language sessions for elementary, junior high school, and high school students. We are a youth-run organization looking for individuals under 30. We run in partnership with Little Things Count and Red Fox Healthy Living Society. Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to serve as the Website and Platform Manager. This role will focus on adding tutors to our platform, maintaining and updating our website, and optimizing our search engine presence. Responsibilities: 1. Add Tutors to Platform: Ensure that new tutors are added to the platform each week, maintaining an up-to-date roster of available tutors. 2. Website Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and maintain the website, including adding new content and making necessary improvements. 3. SEO and Organic Search Optimization: Manage and optimize the website's SEO to ensure it ranks well in search engines and improves visibility. Role Requirements: - Experience in website management, including content updates and maintenance - Knowledge of SEO practices is a plus - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Position Type: Virtual / Remote.
