Thunder Bay - Skilled Volunteers Needed

Ongoing
The Tetra Society design, builds and install custom assistive devices for people with disabilities in Thunder Bay, with no cost for labour. If you are an engineer, carpenter, handyman and you would like to give of your time and skills to help a person with a disability gain independence in their life - Tetra is the place to volunteer. There are no minimum hours, you set your own schedule. There is nothing like making a project for a child - such as modifying hockey equipment - and seeing them play for the first time!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Tetra volunteers have the opportunity to work with people with many different disabilities and barriers. Volunteer skills will always be challenged as every Tetra device that is designed, built and installed is never the same, as each person's disability and challenge is unique to them. There is great satisfaction is seeing someone do something on their own for the first time!
