At Rural eMentoring BC, post-secondary students mentor rural teens in BC. With their mentor’s guidance, the teens work through a curriculum that’s all about preparing for life after high school, including career and post-secondary choices, well-being, confronting discrimination, and much more. Along the way, mentors share their stories, advice, and provide personalized support to their mentee.

How it works: Pairs send messages to each other through our online platform. Messaging is asynchronous, so participants can send messages to each other whenever they want.

Rural eMentoring BC was formed as a partnership between UBC and the Rural Coordination Centre of BC, so we offer the program for free for all participants.
