Volunteer Board Member – Sponsorships & Fundraising (Non-Profit) Organization: Rent Money Game Show Society Location: BC (Remote}) Commitment: 4-6 hours/month (flexible) About Us: Rent Money Game Show is a high-energy, theatrical game show experience where audience members can win money to pay their rent and living expenses. Our mission is to support local artists, performers, and technical crew through paid opportunities while creating a unique entertainment platform that engages the community and offers businesses innovative sponsorship and advertising options. With the intent to create buzz-worthy content in the world of live-theatre, we also intend to scale our show via touring, social-media engagement and develop this circus into televised / streaming content. About the Producers: Rent Money Game Show is the brainchild of two seasoned professionals from the worlds of theatre, film, and television, with over 100 credits between them. One is a Netflix star, comedian, punch-up writer, author, and producer; the other is a television and film production expert and acclaimed live event producer. Together, they bring a unique blend of entertainment, storytelling, and production excellence to every show. Role Overview: We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic thinker passionate about arts, entertainment, and community engagement to join our board as a Sponsorships & Fundraising Specialist. You will play a critical role in securing sponsorships, building fundraising strategies, and helping us grow into a sustainable, high-impact arts organization. Key Responsibilities: • Sponsorship Development: Identify and secure corporate sponsors, advertisers, and community partners. • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement fundraising initiatives, including events, crowdfunding, and donor outreach. • Grant Writing & Non-Profit Growth: Assist in writing grant applications and strategizing funding opportunities from arts councils and foundations. • Legal & Structural Guidance (A BONUS! No stress if this isn't you): Help ensure compliance with non-profit law and governance best practices (ideal for candidates with legal expertise). • Board Participation: Attend quarterly board meetings, contribute to strategic discussions, and support the mission of Rent Money Game Show. Ideal Candidate: • Experience in sponsorship sales, fundraising, non-profit development, grant writing, or non-profit law. • Passion for arts, entertainment, and community-building through unique and engaging experiences. • Strong network within the business, media, or philanthropic sectors. • Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to help build a one-of-a-kind arts initiative.
