Refood Food Rescue Foundation: Based on a report by the BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC), about one in nine households (11.8%) in British Columbia are considered food insecure. Refood Food Rescue Foundation is a non-profit charity that responds to this problem by reducing food waste, repurposing unattractive food, and re-educating the public about food. By partnering with grocers and local non-profit organizations, we serve at-risk populations with surplus food that otherwise would have gone to waste. Since its inception, Refood has delivered over 500,000 meals to those in need in the Greater Vancouver area. Reign Foundation: Established in 2008, the Reign Foundation promotes advanced education and provides grants for educators and employers, empowering individuals for personal and professional growth. Recently acquired by Refood, this partnership leverages Refood’s expansive resources and network to significantly expand the foundation's educational impact. By combining food security and educational outreach, we drive positive change and help individuals reach their fullest potential, fostering growth in the communities we serve. Our focus areas are advanced education initiatives; grants for educators and employers; and personal and professional growth programs. We are looking for a Grant Writer to help with both Refood and Reign initiatives.
