Welcome & Wayfinding Volunteer [St. Paul's Hospital]

Our Welcome & Wayfinding volunteers greet, assist, direct and escort patients and visitors around the hospital helping improve the hospital flow and operations.
Duties include:
• Welcoming, escorting and assisting patients and visitors.
• Answering questions regarding the hospital.
• Assisting staff in their requests.
• Retrieving and pushing wheelchairs/staxis if requested.
Role requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older and
• Can commit to a minimum of 1 year. One 2-hr shift, once a week.
• Able to assist patients/visitors who have physical and/or cognitive challenges.
• Physically capable of assisting patients and visitors in wheelchairs.
• Able to communicate well in verbal and written English.
• Friendly, reliable, patient and respectful.
• Able to follow direction and enjoy teamwork.
• Interest in healthcare and a desire to help others.
