Also required for this position: -Able to assist elders who have physical &/or cognitive challenges. -Physically capable of pushing elders in wheelchairs & carrying out physical tasks as required. -Able to communicate well in verbal & written English. -Friendly, reliable, patient & respectful. -Able to follow direction & enjoy teamwork. -Willingness to listen, learn & develop effective ways to interact with elders. -Sincere interest in the social & spiritual needs elders.
Languages Needed:

Ability to speak a second language an asset but not necessary

  • Good for groups
  • Accessible by public transit

Spiritual Health Volunteers

2 hours / weekly
minimum 4 month commitment
We are looking for volunteers to invite and accompany residents to our weekly (on site) Sunday Catholic Mass. Volunteers are given a list of names of residents who would like to attend and who need volunteers to push them in their wheelchairs to the chapel on the main floor. Volunteers also hand out prayer sheets as needed and, after the service, help residents back to their rooms. 

This role takes place on Wednesday mornings. 

All health care volunteers must provide vaccination status for COVID-19.
