Project Summary The James Bay Community Project (JBCP) will host a landmark 50th Anniversary Celebration—a dynamic, multi-faceted event designed to honor the organization's legacy while spotlighting its future vision. Scheduled for September 18, 2025, the celebration will feature a fashion show showcasing items from The Community Closet, JBCP’s social enterprise, alongside an open house, youth program involvement, partnerships with local food and beverage providers, and community-building activities This celebration will serve as the official launch of JBCP’s fall fundraising campaign and offer a meaningful platform for local engagement, sponsorship, and collaboration. …………………………………………. Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years project management experience • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; adept at engaging diverse stakeholders • Proven experience planning, promotion and executing fundraising events • Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple moving parts effectively • Demonstrated decision-making and leadership capabilities • Familiarity with nonprofit or community-based environments (desirable) …………………………………………. Estimated Time Commitment • 4-6 hours/week Start Date: ___July 15, 2025_______ End Date: ___September 30, 2025_____________ Scope of Work The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of a fundraising and community engagement event celebrating James Bay Community Project’s 50th anniversary. Acting as the project lead, the volunteer will coordinate all aspects of event planning, promotions, production, stakeholder engagement, and execution. The Volunteer Project Manager will collaborate closely with the management team—including the executive Director as the project sponsor. …………………………………………. Deliverables 1. Project Charter 2.
