About PMV:  

PMV (Project Management Volunteers) is a very unique initiative, which focuses on connecting non-profit organizations with volunteer project management professionals. Check us out at https://pm-volunteers.org/ .We are seeking a volunteer Director of Community Engagement to join the Marketing and Communications team.

Work Location: 		All volunteers work remotely. Candidates in Vancouver, BC or PST preferred. 

Our Culture: 

We started with a couple of project managers sitting around a coffee table talking about "giving back".  In our first year, 2010, we had 1 project and 1 volunteer project manager.  Today we are proud to be on the threshold of helping almost 300 organizations achieve their project goals through professional project management.  That's leverage.  And our Project Services are entirely pro-bono.  We have grown 5-fold and continue to find new opportunities.   The diversity of our team, and range of experience and skills are simply amazing.  We are making a difference, one project at a time. 

Estimated Time Commitment:   
Volunteer at least 3 hours per week, virtual. 
Minimum commitment of 12 months is required. 

Scope of work 
- Receive and understand project requests to enhance content with visual and audio design elements. 
- Create or edit video content, website layout, email templates, social media graphics, infographic design, photo stock management, and more.   
- Leverage tools such as Canva, WordPress, Divi, AI tools and others for video, audio and design creation. 
- Elevate our brand standards and apply it to layout, typography, audio, video and photography decisions.   
- Use feedback from the content owner to improve design and visual elements. 

Desired Qualifications 
- Proven video and graphic designing work experience. Please share your portfolio of work showing experience designing digital content such as web pages, emails, videos and illustrations for social posts. 
- A degree in design, or related field is a plus.  
- Highly creative and well organized   
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, think quickly on your feet and be welcoming to all   
- Ability to work independently, within a team, and collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization   
- Ability to closely follow project instructions   

Accountability:  
End-to-end accountability for elevating design appeal of all PMV marketing content
