The Powell River Curling Club has been a vibrant cornerstone in the community since 1955, when it first opened its doors in the Willingdon Arena. After a devastating fire in 1968, the club rallied and was reborn at its current Crown Avenue location—thanks to the unwavering spirit of local curlers and volunteers. As a non-profit society, its purpose goes beyond providing a home for curlers: the club is dedicated to operating a welcoming facility in the heart of Powell River, promoting curling as a lifetime recreational pursuit, and offering programs that enrich the social, educational, and recreational fabric of the community. From seasoned players to curious newcomers, the club continues to unite generations through sport, camaraderie, and shared passion for the game. ……………………………………………………………………………………………..
