Project Summary The Saanich Volunteer Services Society (SVSS) is redesigning its website to create a modern, user-friendly platform that better reflects its mission: supporting independent living through personalized volunteer services. The updated site will make it easier for clients to request support, volunteers to get involved, and community members to access services like transportation, companionship, and minor home assistance. The updated site will include intuitive navigation, integrated social media tools (i.e. blogs), improved reporting features, and a refreshed visual experience aligned with SVSS’s warm and supportive values. To ensure long-term sustainability, the project will also include staff training so the team can confidently maintain and update the site as community needs evolve. …………………………………………. Estimated Time Commitment • 4 hours/week Start Date: 1 September, 2025_________ End Date: _ 22 December, 2025___________________ Scope of Work The Saanich Volunteer Services Society is revitalizing its website to provide a modern, accessible platform that reflects current design standards and enhances user experience. This project aims to improve site navigation, streamline service request processes, integrate with SVSS’s existing database, and simplify and strengthen reporting through user-friendly website features. Additionally, the content management system will enable staff to efficiently edit and manage content, all within a refreshed visual identity that better represents SVSS’s role in the community. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of the website redevelopment. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Developing a comprehensive project plan—including scope, timeline, budget, and resourcing—in collaboration with the SVSS staff. • Executing and monitoring the project according to plan, managing progress, scope changes, and resource allocation. • Assisting in sourcing, evaluating, selecting and engaging external vendors, web developer or consultants to design, develop, and implement the website. • Coordinating external collaborators to ensure timely and cohesive implementation. • Incorporating sustainability measures, including a training plan to support long-term system adoption and maintenance. • Reviewing and testing site content for accuracy, functionality, and alignment with SVSS objectives. • Supporting setting up the website and inputting content as needed. ………………………………………….
