Wellness Volunteer

Wellness Volunteers are responsible for assisting with complimentary wellness programming.  

This may include:   
- Assisting staff with the supervision of group outings (e.g., meetings, gym visits, shopping trips, peer walks, Sunday outings) 
- Helping with Wednesday Farewell Celebrations and similar client-centered events (putting up decorations, welcoming guests etc.) 
- Supporting Pacifica events such as information booths or community gatherings (e.g., alumni BBQs) 
- Facilitating or co-facilitating complementary social and recreational activities (e.g., movie nights, karaoke, games, art sessions) under staff direction 
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and recovery-oriented environment by modeling respect, empathy, and collaboration, and by following staff direction and Pacifica’s values and policies. 

All tasks are carried out under the direction and supervision of Pacifica staff and are supportive in nature, not substitutive of bargaining unit member responsibilities. Any role and responsibilities are intended to complement staff-led programs and strengthen client engagement. Work will be completed in accordance with Pacifica’s volunteer policies and protocols.  

Qualifications: 
- Ability to deal with others effectively and to communicate both verbally and written in English.  
- Must have the physical abilities to perform the duties of the job (be able to stand/walk with clients). 
- Must be 19+ years old
