Specialized Volunteer

Specialized volunteers are volunteers with specific skills or trades that they would like to share with clients under the direction of Pacifica staff. This may include:  
- Assisting with wellness or recreational outings under staff direction 
Facilitating or assisting with specialized complementary programming (e.g., art therapy-style activities, mindfulness, creative workshops, or peer-led groups) as approved by staff 
- Skill sharing 
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and recovery-oriented environment by modeling respect, empathy, and collaboration, and by following staff direction and Pacifica’s values and policies.

All tasks are carried out under the direction and supervision of Pacifica staff and are supportive in nature, not substitutive of bargaining unit member responsibilities. Any role and responsibilities are intended to complement staff-led programs and strengthen client engagement. Work will be completed in accordance with Pacifica’s volunteer policies and protocols. 

Qualifications: 
- Ability to deal with others effectively and to communicate both verbally and written in English.  
- Must have the physical abilities to perform the duties of the job (be able to stand/walk with clients). 
- Must be 19+ years old
